Designer Samata Angel wins Precious ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008’ award
Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008
Designer, author and entrepreneur Samata Angel scooped the award (sponsored by Make Your Mark) last night at the Precious Awards. The award show, sponsored by Pearson Plc and the FEAT Project, seeks to celebrate the outstanding contributions that women of colour have made to UK PLC during 2008. Samata was chosen as Young Entrepreneur of the Year for showing shown determination, dedication and of course entrepreneurial skills and talent, with judges including Jessica Huie of Color Blind cards and Marcia Williams, Head of Diversity at the UK Film Council.

Author and designer Samata Angel attended the first ever Make your Mark Awards in association with handbag.com. Also in attendance were Big Issue founder John Bird, business woman extraordinaire Gita Patel and vocal coach Carrie Grant amongst others.

Podcast project photoshoot
